This is the reason for the lack of Volvo content. I have been trying to finish up the garage. I just have a bit of trim work to do, and dad is coming next week to hang the rest of the light fixtures.

That blue color looks very nice. Good choic e . And you even have good lighting. That’ll make working on the Volvo much more pl ea sant.

Thank you. It’s called Samovar Silver, and its like a blue-silver color. And that’s only 3 lights, I’m getting 3 more installed.
If you want some of that color, I have over 2 gallons left because determining paint quantity is apparently alchemy. I did the math and it took 4 gallons to prime it, which is what I came up with. For the ceiling I came up with 2.2 gallons for 2 coats. I got it all done in 1.5. For the walls I came up with 3.5 gallons, but did it in 1.5. So why were my primer calculations correct but my paint calcs so far off?

That blue is a nice color, though all that light will be fantastic.

Absolutely no idea. The bluish color is very nice for adding subtle interest to a room.

Looking good. Does missing breaker box and door knobs mean this is all new construction? Gonna add shelving and bench(s)? And over on LifeHacker there’s an article about turning your garage into a children’s playroom. I think this one looks a bit more useful to guys.

Looks great! I like the lighter colors as they will help keep the space brighter to work in.

Yep once you’d sealed up the drywall with the primer, the color coat goes on pretty thin. If you hadn’t primed your calculations would probably have been spot on.
Ever paint a house that hasn’t been painted in 10-15 years? You go through paint about twice as fast as you should. Painted 2 years ago? Do a whole room with a gallon, with paint to spare. Both “primed” but one much drier than the other
